How It Works
LiveBackup's two-tiered architecture features a client with a familiar wizard-based interface and a centralized storage repository built around Microsoft® SQL Server 2000. The client autonomously handles data collection and transmits in the background, providing all of LiveBackup's self-serve recovery options to end users. The server aggregates data from the clients in a content-optimized repository that is easily managed using a standard Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. LiveBackup uses IIS as its middleware layer, which enables client-to-server communication in both WAN and LAN environments.
